About RAZZETT TAL-HBIBERIJA The Razzett tal-Hbiberija is a local charitable organization, which provides leisure facilities, rehabilitation and therapeutic services free of charge to persons with a disability. Set up in 1989 by Paddy and Janatha Stubbs, Razzett is situated in Marsascala, has the largest indoor heated pool, gym and an animal park which is unique in it's accessibility. The general public may also make use of these and other services including hydrotherapy, physiotherapy as well as fitness training against payment. The revenue goes towards running the Disability Programmes. One such programme aimed at school age children with disabilities, provides a variety of development and therapeutic activities such as animal interaction, horse riding, art & pottery, gardening and play. In order to maintain such a high quality and unique service, the Razzett Tal-Hbiberija is involved in numerous fund-raising activities, such as this one. The generosity of the public is imperative, as the Razzett Tal-Hbiberija is not government affiliated and has to be self sufficient to survive. This year, the Razzett Tal-Hbiberija will be embarking on a new project, the Snoezelen. This multi-sensory room will provide therapy to a large variety of sensory related disabilities, as well as assist in the cognitive and interactive skills of many other disabled children and adults. The cost of the building is high, and we hope that your generosity is shown by your donations and more visits to our fund raising activities. Over 7000 persons with a disability make use of our free services every year. These include both those born with a disability and others who developed a disability later on in life through an accident or illness.
